A Symposium on Mgr Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas the Servant of God, the Founder of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore was organized by Bethany Educational Society, Mangalore Province on 01.03.2014 at St Raymond’s College Auditorium. The programme began at 9.45 am with the prayer, lighting Diya followed by offering floral tribute to our Visionary Fr Founder, the Servant of God. The number of participants for the Symposium from teaching and non-teaching Staff of various schools/Colleges of BES, Mangalore Province is 155.

Rev Sr Mariette BS, Provincial Superior and the Corporate Manager of BES Mangalore Province presided over the Symposium. Sr Christella BS the Province Coordinator for Education welcomed Sr Mariette BS, the President, Mrs Mariette Castelino the moderator of the session, resource persons & the gathering. Rev Sr Mariette BS, the President, in her Keynote address highlighted Founder as a foresighted man, who lived to bring fullness of life. The Moderator and the Speakers are the Staff of Bethany Educational Society, Mangalore Province. Mr. Richard Alvares, analyzed similarities between Founder and Mahatma Gandhi in their education policies, that which trains head, heart & mind.  Mrs B M Rohini narrated with life examples of Founder, how he was Icon of empowerment of rural women. Mrs Leena Lilly Pinto in her speech made aware of the core values lived by Founder during his time & how we need to inculcate in our students today.

At 1.30 pm Rev Sr Mariette the President of the Symposium concluded the session, making all to feel belong to one Bethany Family and gave them invitation to make the vision of our Founder alive in their daily interactions with students.
