Fr Magi Murzello headed the workshop for the second day on 29th of May 2014 as well. Ms Zakeera from St Raymond’s College was the MC for the day. Father began the session with an activity to advertise their respective institution. This activity made the members of the institution feel proud of their respective institution.  Each group came up with an advertisement which made themselves and others aware of the institution. Through this activity Fr Magi Murzello made the staff feel proud of their institution.

Fr Magi Murzello further proceeded to explain the importance of parent involvement in our education system. He created awareness that parents are our indirect customers, students being our direct customers. We should put in our best to keep them satisfied. We were made aware of several things like, what the parents wish teachers would do and how to promote parent involvement. In order to promote parent involvement, we need to keep three things in mind, they being firstly to connect with parents, secondly involve the parents and finally sustain the involvement.

In the afternoon session Fr proceeded towards activities to teach new message to the teachers. Through the activities he made the teachers aware that they themselves have all the resources, they only have to be aware of it and then enforce them. Further, practical sessions were conducted on how being a teacher we are supposed to talk to the parents of our students. Fr explained to us how we should empathize with the parents in order to have a better relationship. Fr stressed on using the SOLER method during our conversation with the parent. S for sitting squarely, O for open gesture, L for lean forward, E for eye contact and finally R for relax.

Fr Magi Murzello, explained to us Mission Sunshine, the list of activities that are conducted in an organized form in his school. This inspired the teachers to do something to Mission Sunshine in order to make the education system more and more child centered. Fr specified about a need to change the concept of Eco-awareness to Eco-literacy, Eco-literacy to Eco-sensitivity and finally Eco-sensitivity to Eco-responsibility. We should not only make our students aware of the environmental problems but also should make the students take in the responsibility to save mother earth. Finally Fr Magi Murzello concluded the session by telling each one of the participants that they should be MAD teachers, in the sense Make A Difference or Make Appreciation Dil Se teachers.
