Director of Secondary Education, Bangalore, Mrs Philomena Lobo presided over the Gandhi Jayanthi Program at Sacred Hearts’ High School, Kulshekar, Mangalore on 2nd October 2014. Speaking on the occasion she said that Gandhiji an apostle of non violence gave us a great example by his thoughts words and deeds. As we remember him with gratitude we need to imbibe his values of non violence, truth, sacrifice and dedication and impart the same to all our brothers and sisters in India and in the world.

She also stressed the importance of manual labour and said that cleanliness is next to godliness. She discussed with the students how to maintain a healthy mind in a healthy body and said that positive attitude will help us to have a balanced personality. District Project Coordinator Mr Manjunath, B.R.C. Shree Laxminarayana, ECO Mr Francis and Mrs Hilda Pinto, PTA Vice President Mr Sunil Monteiro and Headmistress Sr Cicilia Mendonca encouraged the students by their gracious presence.
