The National Eucharistic Congress was hosted by the Archdiocese of Bombay from November 12 – 15, 2015 at the St. Pius X College, Archdiocesan Seminary Complex, Goregaon, in commemoration of the Golden Jubilee of the 38th International Eucharistic Congress held in this Archdiocese in 1964. The theme of the Congress was ‘The Eucharist: Nourished by Christ to Nourish Others’, which invites all to understand that we are called to become what we consume - to be other Christ. The Congress will be attended by the Papal Legate and 5 representatives from each of the 167 dioceses and archdioceses, encompassing the Latin, Syro-Malankara and Syro-Malabar rites. Sr M. Amala BS being the representative of Gulbarga Diocese and Sr M. Flavia Wilma BS being the representative of Mangalore Diocese witnessed this awesome event. Papal Legate H. E. Malcolm Ranjth brought to the Congress blessings from Pope Francis. Our hearts were burning within us when we witnessed Testimonies, while we heard Catechesis and when we celebrated Mass along with delegates gathered from North, East, West and South of India. We were fellow travelers to each other during these four days and we shared and we listened to each other’s faith experiences about the Eucharist. It was time to introspect the place we have given for Eucharist in our lives and it was a moment of grace to start loving Jesus so passionately so that being nourished by Him we are able to nourish others. We are sent on a mission to be nourished by Christ to nourish others.
