Jeevandhara Social Service Trust ® Kulshekar, Mangalore released an Interactive CD ‘Children For a Better Tomorrow’.

The “Interactive CD with Trainers Manual’ presents 44 Modules on various topics like Child Development, Child Rights, skills, Integrated Child Protection Services and Children for a digital future.

The I Section of the CD focuses on “Child Development, Birth and Order, Stages and growth of Development, Inner Child Types and Millennial Generation Psychology. In section II, we find Child Rights, Rights and Responsibilities of Children, Tips for Teaching Children Responsibility, Parental responsibility and Responsible Children. Section III covers Life Skills, Communication, Learning, Leadership and Soft Skills. Counselling skills are also focused in this Section. Integrated Child Protection Services are covered in section IV of the CD. The last part of the CD has modules on children for a digital future. The key features   are Education Today and Tomorrow,  Mind Processing, Mind Mapping and Children Then and Now, Examples of Famous People and Dealing with  Emotions and Feelings.

The CD has a Trainers Manual which serves as Trainers Kit for Teachers, Educators, Parents, NGOs, Social Workers, and everyone who is interested in the Care, Protection and development of Children. No doubt this CD will enable people of good will to answer of the challenges that Children face today. It will create a mindset in children to respond adequately to the erosion of values and the negative impact of Media.

Shri Raghurama, the General Manager, Karnataka Bank, Pumpwell Mangalore released the CD and in his speech, he thanked the Bethany Sisters for their services to Humanity specially in the field of Education and Social Activities. He appreciated Jeevandhara for their services among the construction workers, slum dwellers and children. He called on the students to frame a vision in life and take active steps to achieve the same.

Rev. Sr Lillis BS, the Asst Superior General of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore presided over the function. In her Presidential address she congratulated the Jeevandhara Social Service Trust, for responding creatively to the growing problems of children through Child Rights education. She recognised the services of Jeevandhara towards women folk and children in particular.

The  other dignitaries on the dais were Mr Nikesh Shetty, the Chair Person of CWC DK, Rev Fr Victor Machado  the Parish Priest of Cordel, Rev Sr Christella BS, the Asst Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province, Rev Sr Anna Maria BS the Superior of Santa Cruz Community cum Director of Jeevandhara were the esteemed guests on the dais.
The Interactive CD was designed by Arena Animation, Mangalore and the Trainers Manual was designed by Print Designs, Mangalore. The editorial team consists of Sr Mariola BS, the Secretary of Jeevandhara Social Service Trust, Ms Devika the Programme Coordinator, Ms Ashwini, Mrs Bharathi and Mrs Komalakshi. Sr Mariola the Secretary of the Trust, Provincial Councillor and the member CWC Mangalore was honoured at this occasion for her brain child.  Every member of the editorial team was congratulated by the dignitaries on the dais.
Sr Mariola BS welcomed the guests. Sr Anna Maria BS proposed vote of thanks to all those who were part of this venture. Ms Devika compeered the days’ programme. The presence of children of Sacred Hearts’ and few well wishers were present at the occasion.
