“Coming together is joy, staying together is love, sharing together is bliss”
November 11th was a special and unique day for our Mangalore Province as we celebrated senior’s day and gratefully acknowledged their loving and valuable services. The celebration commenced at 9.30 am by invoking God’s blessings.There were 23 elderly sisters above 80 years of old from different communities of the Province. Sr Roshel welcomed the gathering. Sr.Cicilia the provincial Superior of Mangalore Province addressed the gathering and appreciated and thanked them for their lovely presence active services.Fr.Cyprian Pinto gave the input session on prayer.The various games and action songs were conducted and made them happy and acive.Thereafter they shared their experienceswith Founder. They were very eager to share and thrilled with joy, love and gratitude towards Founder and many of them shed tears of love.The pleasant memories that still linger in their mind are about the entry into Bethany where Fr.Founder welcomed and received them with affectionate embrace.Founder loved all the sisters.He wanted the sisters to be happy and holy. He taught us to love Jesus,to have great love to the Eucharistic Lord and filial devotion to Mamma Mary. The compassionate love and gentle and affectionate touch of Founder strengthened them to remain loyal to Bethany. These were their innermost sentiments and indeed it enriched their lives. There after Sr.Cicilia Mendonca BS the Provincial Superior congratulated the winners and felicitated all of them with gifts. The Power of the Holy Spirit was prayed over them by laying of the hands by the Provincial Superior and her team and few others. Sr Doris proposed the vote of thanks. A fellowship meal was shared. Thus the senior’s day became a golden day to remember and cherish.
