The much awaited sports day was held on Wednesday 22nd November . The inaugural ceremony was presided by Mr.K.Subramanya Bhat, Retd.Lecturer, Government college , Uppinangadi, Sr. Sarita, the correspondents, Mr Sudir Rai the PTA Vice President and the headmistress of the institution, Sr. Lavita.The pleasant weather and fantastic turnout from the parents, well wishers and staff were the perfect boost for the students on this day. The students entered in to the sportive spirit in a grand way with the oath taking and lighting of the torch ceremonies. The salute of the impressive march past set the tone for the rest of the event. Student of classes 1 to 7 competed class –wise in track events including race, discuss throw, shot-put, squad volleyball and throw ball matches and relay. The air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes when the day ended congratulating the winners with medals .
Vim and vigor; live wire; eager beaver- undoubtedly all these titles well fitted to dear children who made this function up to the snuff.
