“Looking to the past with gratitude”
The Bethany Sisters who are called as ‘Liturgical Batch’ (1972-1974) came together for a renewal programme on the occasion of our Ruby Jubilee of Religious Profession at Hyderabad at Bosco Institution for Research and Development of Youth (BIRDY). We were 20 sisters belonging to different Provinces from all over India who participated in this renewal programme under the leadership of Sr Susan BS assisted by Sr Sharon BS.
Rev. Fr Benny SDB the programme director helped to understand the deeper meaning of “Beatitudes” and the Pope’s letter to the Religious “Rejoice”. Meaningful prayer and meditation helped us to experience God’s love for us.
The most enriching experience was that the sharing of our 40 years of faith journey of religious life in Bethany which encouraged one another to march forward with trust and confidence in God. Each one mentioned the unique experience of God’s love which was revealed through various events and persons.
After four days of heavy schedule of sitting, listening and sharing had four days of sightseeing at Hyderabad wherein experienced and praised God for the beauty and wonder of God’s creation and the work of human hands.
The renewal programme has brought closer to each other and helped Claiming the Past with Gratitude; Living the Present with Enthusiasm; Looking to the Future with Hope. We thank our Superior General & Provincial Superiors for giving the chance to come together and to renew the spirit.
