“Student must have self – confidence and achieve the goal by unceasing efforts” said Shri Ivan D’Souza MLC, Karnataka State, during the inauguration of the Throw Ball tournament of the District level, Dakshina Kannada.
On 11th November 2014 the District level Throw ball tournament of Pre –University Dakshina Kannada was held at St Raymond’s P.U. College, Vamanjoor. Sr Christella BS, the Correspondent presided over the programme. She exhorted the students to be just and honest in their efforts towards success. In his inaugural speech Shri Ivan D’Souza MLC, Karnataka State called upon the students to emulate the confidence that he had in his political life having success after 30 years of unceasing efforts.
The chief guest of the day Rev. Fr Ajith Menezes, the In-Charge Director of St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor Blessed the tournament and said that every student should strive hard to win and not lose heart if one defeats, for defeat leads to success. Sr Cecilia D’Souza BS, the Principal welcomed and Mrs Savitha Menezes compered the programme.
The Winners of among boys were Rosa Mystica PU College, Mangalore Taluk and selected for State level and the Runners Sacred Heart PU College, Belthangady Taluk. The girls of Shri Krishna PU College, Puttur Taluk, were the Winners and Bharath PU College, Mangalore Taluk were the Runners.
