Jeevandhara Social Service Trust ® celebrated International Women’s Day on March 10th 2016 at 11.00 am. Mrs. Zeenath and Mrs. Molly Miranda were the chief guests of the programme. Mrs. Zeenath in her message upheld the role of women in today’s society and how they accomplish great things in life. Mrs Molly Miranda stressed about women/girls being the light of a family through different ways. Sr Anna Maria BS, the Director of Jeevandhara presided over the function and gave away the certificates for women who did well in tailoring class. In her message, the focus was laid to equality among men and women, we need to respect every person as one is.
Women from Self Help Groups, women who learn tailoring and those who are part of learning different vocational skills including Tailoring students, English Spoken Class were present and graced the occasion. Sr. Florita BS, Assistant Director of Center was present. Ms Devika Devadiga welcomed the guests. Mrs. Bharathi proposed vote of thanks to all those who were part of this venture. Mrs. Komalkshi compeered the days programme. Indeed it was a memorable day.
