The second unit of Young Student Movement at PU level was started this year in Rosa Mystica P U College, Kinnikambla. A day’s camp was held for the students of YSM on 22 October 2016. 54 students attended.

Rev Fr Rupesh Madtha, Director YCS/YSM, Mangalore Diocese inaugurated the Camp. He appreciated the students for their good will to join this movement. He spoke about the importance of YSM and exhorted them to do good in the society wherever they go.

Mr Mervin Vas and Mr Roshan Lobo, old students of St Raymond’s P U College, divided the students into 6 Cells and conducted games, taught them action songs and shared their personal experience.

Mr Richard Alvares, St Raymond’s High School, Vamanjoor the ‘Best Teacher Award’ winner , conducted various activities and taught the students to build themselves and others, to cooperate, to share, to sacrifice. He made his classes participatory.

All the students actively participated in the activities conducted throughout the day. Mr Amcil Fernandes and Ms Lenita D Cunha the YSM animators guided the students. Sr Cecilia DSouza, the Principal welcomed the guests and Hasanul Habid proposed the Vote of Thanks.
