Jeevandhara Social Service Trust ® celebrated International Women’s Day on March 15th 2017 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart’s High School Hall Kulshekar. Mrs. Malini Rodrigues, Community Affairs Officer, Mangalore City Corporation was the chief guest, Sr Mariola BS Provincial Councilor and Secetary to the Bethany Educational Society Mangalore Province was the President, Mr Sathish Attavar Counsellor at Jnana Jyothi Fincial Literary Center Sponsored by Syndicate Bank, Mrs. Annapoorna President of Prakrathi Mahila Sangha Shakthinagar Mangalore were the guests of the programme. Sr Anna Maria BS Secetary of Jeevandhara Social Service Trust ® welcomed the gathering.
Mrs. Malini Rodrigues in her message upheld the role of women in today’s society and educated the various Government schemes and benefits that are provided for the welfare of the women. Mr. Sathish Attavar guided the women regarding various banking facilities, other saving schemes for the women and girl child. He also enlightened them regarding other general savings schemes. Sr Mariola BS in her Presidential address called the women to move forward for the betterment of the society with courage and hope and be bold for change.At this occasion Sr Josephine BS pioneer of Jeevandhara Social Service Center was honored for her great zeal, love for the poor and untiring dedication in uplifting the women and girl children.Women from Self Help Groups, women who learn tailoring and those who are part of learning different vocational skills including Tailoring, Beautician, Hand embroidery students, were present, graced the occasion and showcased their talents and participated in various games. Sr Preethi BS and Ms Devika Devadiga presented the report. Ms. Ashwini proposed vote of thanks to all those who were part of this venture. Mrs. Komalkshi compeered the days programme. Indeed it was a memorable day.
