“How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of him who brings good tidings” (Is :52:7 )Inspired by these words we the Sisters of Mangalore Province namely, Srs. Shubha, Agnesia Frank, Precilla, Marissa Lucy Pinto, Grettta Mascarenhas, Tressian, and Lydia Pinto aim of renewal and revitalizing of families.
At our arrival the Parish Priest of Nidpally Rev Fr. John D’souza and the ward Gurkars were extremely happy to welcome us in the church vicinity. We could see the joy on their faces to receive a band of sisters young and old. They took up the responsibility and distributed the 8 days of our mission to different wards according to our needs and distance.Sr. Agnesia briefed us about her touching experiences of her home mission at Kerala. She explained the need of home mission in building of families on the way to holiness. She also explained the skills of counseling to the group. With this background we formed ourselves into two groups and stayed in two families.
People were thrilled and waiting to meet us in their families. It did not take long time to express their inner world. People were waiting to pour out their worries and they counted on our prayers. Like the widow who offered her only coin people shared with us whatever they had. Even the people of other faith were cordial and warm. We are grateful to our Provincial Superior Sr. Cicilia Mendonca for giving us this opportunity to be with people. We extend our gratitude to Rev Fr. John Dsouza and all the parishoners of Nidpally.
