We the 31 Junior Sisters of Mangalore Province gathered on the eve of Christmas. We were addressed by our Provincial Superior Sr Cicilia Mendonca. On 26th Morning we were set up for the seminar by Fr Selva Rathinum who is a national scholastic in Theology.He thrilled us by his way of teaching which began at 9.00am. We began with the background study of prophets. We were enthusiastic and keen to know about every prophet. We were given the knowledge of Pentateuch and the gist of the Bible. A prophet is the one whom God calls, commissions but prophet objects, God responds and also He is the one who speaks on behalf of people for example we have Sr Rani Maria, St Mother Theresa etc.The prophets who were introduced to us are Hosea, Isaiah, Micah who were the instrument of God and played a great role in the lives of people and turned the hearts and minds of people towards God.Here each prophet focuses on each thing by having a glance over the people who were entrusted to them by God.Let us be a prophet by being firm, courageous, and challenging in the modern era where the world stands for competition and uphill task.
