Bethany Lay Association Day was celebrated on July 28th at Rosa Mystica Convent, Kinnikambla. Rev Fr Anil Lobo, rector of degree students at Pastoral House, Bajjodi, officiated the Eucharist and explained the meaning of ‘Types of Love’ with examples and emphasized to grow in ‘Agape Love’ which is selfless and self-sacrificing love. BLA members conducted the Liturgy and seven members renewed their commitment.A short cultural programme was organized by the BLA members and they brought home the message to find God in the sick and the poor; Novices reminded the Role of Martha and Mary in our lives through a dance. Sr Sharon the guest of the day gave her massage and stressed the importance of preaching the Gospel through our lives. Sr Juliana the Local Superior felicitated the members and thanked them for their ready contribution. Being the feast of St Martha, all the domestic helpers were honored by the Superior and were appreciated for their selfless services. Games were conducted to their children by the BLA members and prizes were distributed to all of them. Ms Vijaya compeered, Mr Alfred Peres welcomed and Ms Stella Fernandes thanked all. Thereafter all shared in the fellowship meal prepared by the Community Sisters.
