18.11.2019 As Bethany congregation is approaching its centenary celebration, building 100 houses for the poor was one of the projects planned as a part of this centenary celebration. Mangalore Province inaugurated its first house at Kollangana in KasargodDistrict at 3.30pm. The house was built for the family of Mr George &Mrs Therese Monteiro and their son Punith. 
 
 
Sr Cicilia Mendonca the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province inaugurated the house. FrJaison blessed the house with the ceremony of prayers. After which the stage programme was held. SrCiciliaMendonca was honoured by the family. Later Mr Wilson Rodrigues the contractor was honoured by Sr Cicilia Mendonca and the family members by building the house with in a short duration of 4 months. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Sr Cicilia Mendonca in her presidential speech applauded the hard work of contractor, the workers, the family members and the parish youth for their strenuous labour to complete the construction of the house. She remembered gratefully the donors who supported the project. She handed over the keys of the house to the family. She called upon the members to build the family of Prayer, unity, love and compassion on the foundation of word of God. 
 
 
Mr Eugene Ravi, the Vice President of St Thomas Church, Kollangana compeered the programme.Mrs Anitha welcomed the gathering. Mr Punith thanked the guests and the participants. The refreshments were served on the occasion. There were a good number of members present from the neighbourhood, parish and BLA joined the family for the Inaugural function.Sr Flavia Wilma, the Superior of Bethany Convent, Kollangana and other members were present on the occasion. Sr Anna Maria the provincial councilor and Sr Lizzie the Province Procurator witnessed the programme.Mr Praveen, the ward leader along with other ward members graced the occasion.
