The Sacred Hearts' Higher Primary (English Medium) School, Kulshekar celebrated the 73rd Independence Day along with great pomp and show. The heavy rain pour did not reduce the enthusiasm of the students and staff.
Rev Sr Rekha Lobo, Superior of Santa Cruz Convent and local Manager of the Institutions presided over the function and unfurled the National Flag followed by the 'National Anthem' and' Vijayee Vishwa Tiranga Pyara'.
She also addressed the students and reminded them about the sacrifices of the freedom fighters through a short moral story. Headmistress Rev Sr Lavita welcomed the gathering. Rev Sr Leera Maria, Headmistress of Sacred Hearts' High School and Sr Norma, KG Supervisor were present on the stage.
Sir John D Souza hosted the function and Ms Celine D Souza uttered the word of gratitude. Students songs and dances filled the grace to the programme.
