Novices celebrated their Day on 16th January 2021 at Rosa Mystica Novitiate, Kinnikambla, Mangalore, with the theme, “In the footsteps of Jesus towards Sanctity”. The programme was presided over by Rev Sr Cicilia Mendonca BS the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province. Opening Chorus brought home the importance of the year dedicated to St Joseph, Invocation of St Coronaand Centenary Year of Bethany Congregation. Bethany story was unfolded through the symphony by the Centenary Novices.
The entire cultural eve was a combination of dance, song and Spiritual enrichment; the highlight of the programme was the enactment of the life of Blessed Carlo Acutis; A saint of the new generation and patron of the internet. The important sayings “When we face the sun we get a tan… but when we stand before Jesus in the Eucharist we become saints, Eucharist is my highway to heaven.”were imprinted in every hearts who witnessed the cultural eve. Provincial Superior felicitated the Formators and the Novices and invitedeveryone to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and remain focused in life.
The presence of the Community Sisters of Rosa Mystica Convent, Tertians, Candidates, Camilian Fathers and Sisters added joy to the occasion. Sr Shalet DSouza the Novice Directress welcomed the gathering, Penciya and Janice compeered the Programme and Riya thanked everyone.
