31August 2021, The Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore Province distributed Food Kits to 100 people of Jyothi Nagar slum, Kavoor and 100 Parents of Holy Family High School students, Bajpe. The food kits costing Rs 600/- consisting of 5Kg Boiled Rice, 1 kg Sugar, 1 Kg Wheat Flour, 1/2Kg Tuar Dal, 1 Kg oil, 1 packet each of chilly powder, Tea powder and Salt were distributed. Sisters from St Raymond’s Community and Holy Family Convent helped in distributing the Food Kits along with local youth and animators of Jeevandhara Social Service trust, Kulshekar. It was held from 9am to 11am. The amount was sponsored by Arise Foundation.

         

 

           

 

        

 

    

 

                

 

                                                          


The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the organizers and the donours. As they celebrate these days the feast of Krishna Janmastami the ingredients and rice was a great help to have the family meal together. Christians also were of the similar sentiments as the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary is nearing. As per the strict rule of the donors the Food Kits were placed in the School Hall par apart in order to maintain social distance between the beneficiaries as well as the animators and to avoid the spread of Covid-19 disease. All were instructed to wear the masks. The sanitizers were used as they entered the school premises.
