05.12.2021 Bethany Mangalore Province celebrated its 35th Province day at St Raymond’s Convent Chapel with the Eucharistic Celebration at 7.00am. Rev Fr Wilfred Prakash DSouza, the Director of St Joseph Engineering College officiated the Eucharistic Celebration. In his homily he highlighted the Sunday liturgical readings which give us a clarion call to be hopeful and Joyful and to await and recognize the Lord at every moment. He also explained the role of Mary in the salvific mystery of Christ. As the Lady of Immaculate Conception is the patroness of the Province, he invoked divine blessings through her intercession. The liturgy along with melodious choir was conducted by the Sisters of St Raymond’s Convent thanking the Lord for His incessant blessings on the Province through the intersession of Mary for the past 35 years. The various intentions of the world, Church and Congregation were prayed on the occasion.
The felicitation programme was followed after the Eucharistic Celebration in the open ground in front of the Convent. Sr Roshel BS, the Asst Provincial Superior greeted Sr Cicilia Mendonca BS, the Provincial Superior. The greeting song was echoed by the members of St Raymond’s Community. Sr Cicilia Mendonca addressed the members present on behalf of the entire Province for their prayerful support, collaboration and joyful participation in the diverse ministries of the Province. She also thanked the members of St Raymond’s Convent Superior Sr Gracy Monica BS and the community members along with Provincialate community who planned for the day’s praogramme and celebrating it meaningfully.
