RPL 6 Raymond’s premier league 06 cricket tournament held on 19th of January 2022 at St Joseph the worker church Vamanjoor, Mangalore Church ground. St Raymond's college Vamanjoor organizes this tournament for the last 5 years and this was the 6th such tournament held. Six teams were formed by the six captains and team owners by choosing the students from different classes, every team had at least 12 players. Every team had 5 over the match and they need to play with every other team and need to win the match to qualify for the semi-final and finals. Every team who wins will gain 2 points.
Inaugural of the match was held at 8 am A short procession was carried by the team members by holding their respective team flags. All guests were taken part in the procession from the main gate to the stage. Soon after the procession short inaugural program was organized. Below was the guest who took part in the program. The program was presided by the corporate manager, Provincial superior of Mangalore province Rev. Sr. Cicilia Mendoca. The program was inaugurated by Assistant parish priest Rev Fr Santhosh Dsouza of St Joseph's church Vamanjoor Well-known social worker Mr. Raghu Salian, educational coordinator Sr Shubha, correspondent of the St Raymonds degree college Vamanjoor Rev Sr Dr. Lilly Principal of the college Rev Sr Sagaya selvi.


Ms. Supreetha welcomed the gathering and the Principal of the college Rev Sr Sagaya selvi welcomed all with a welcome shawl. The tournament was inaugurated by Rev Fr Santhosh Dsouza by cutting the ribbon in the pitch. Soon later trophies were unveiled by Mr. Raghu Salian and Rev. Sr. Cicilia Mendoca. Later all the dignitaries released the balloons and inaugurated the event.
After inaugurating the event Rev Fr Santhosh Dsouza said we need to develop an attitude on how to accept the defeat and should come out of the dilemma He pointed out during test matches we are taught how to leave the balls this is because individual needs to decide which ball is important in the real match As a player we all should know which ball is important and how we can make use of this ball and win in the match.
A lucky dip draw which was organized to raise the funds for the expenditure of the event was held. Rev Sr.Cicilia Mendoca picked the lucky dip winner by choosing the name from the draw box there were two cash prizes first winner prize was 3333 and the second winner prize was 2222.
In her presidential address Rev. Sr., Cicilia Mendoca said this institute had made significant changes in society by giving productive citizens. Every student of this institution is important for society. Every student should look for his potential and should develop it to grow in society This kind of tournament will bring out hidden potentials of our students These potentials like organizing capacity collecting the funds and doing such tough matches will boost the individual morale to high she also said we need to promote our students to get into the mainstream of the society. She said this is the only institute across the community showing this kind of positive vibes. She appreciated all the students and the staff members
