19-03-2022 As Bethany congregation has completed its centenary celebration, building 100 houses for the poor was one of the projects planned as a part of centenary celebration. Mangalore Province inaugurated its 7th house at Saripalla in Dakshina Kannada District at 3.pm. The house was built for the family of Mrs Laveena Dsouza and her two sons.

Sr Cicilia Mendonca the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province inaugurated the house Decon Vivek blessed the house with the ceremony of prayers.. Sr Cicilia Mendonca was honored by the family. Later Mr Rohan John D’Silva the contractor was honoured by Sr Cicilia Mendonca and the family members by building the house. Sr Cicilia Mendonca in her presidential speech applauded the hard work of contractor, the workers, the family members. She handed over the keys of the house to the family. She called upon the members to build the family of Prayer, unity, love and compassion on the foundation of word of God.Mrs Laveena Dsouza welcomed the gathering. Mrs Leena thanked the guests and the participants. The refreshments were served on the occasion. Few ward members joined the family for the Inaugural function.. Sr Roshel the Assistant provincial Superior and good number of sisters from the convent witnessed the programme.
