12-05-2022 as Bethany congregation has completed its centenary celebration, building 100 houses for the poor was one of the projects planned as a part of centenary celebration. Mangalore Province inaugurated its 8th house at Vamanjoor in Dakshina Kannada District at 10.30am. The house was built for the family of Mr Marcel Rodrigues and Rita Rodrigues and daughter Melveera. Sr Cicilia Mendonca the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province inaugurated the house. Fr James D’Souza, Parish Priest blessed the house with the ceremony of prayers. Sr Cicilia Mendonca was honored by the family.

Sr Cicilia Mendonca in her presidential speech applauded the hard work of contractor, the workers, the family members. She handed over the keys of the house to the family. She called upon the members to build the family of Prayer, unity, love and compassion on the foundation of word of God. Mrs Laveena DSouza welcomed the gathering. Miss Melveera thanked the guests and the participants. The refreshments were served on the occasion. Few family members and ward members joined the family for the Inaugural function. Sr Flavia Wilma, the Province Procurator and Sr Gracy Monica, the Superior of St Raymond’s Convent, Vamanjoor were present.
