My dear Sisters,

The month of November is a month of festivities. Prominently we celebrate All Saints Day, All Souls day and the feast of Christ the King leading to Advent Season. Our country India celebrates the Children’s day and we the members of Karnataka State rejoice at the uniqueness of state by celebratingRajyotsava.

On November 1stwe celebrate the Feast of All Saints. On this day, we honor the saints who have been recognized by the Church as well as all the faithful who have entered Heaven. It’s a holy day of obligation. The saints accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage; they encourage us to go forward.May their intercession help us to walk on Jesus’ path!
November 2ndSolemnity of All Souls:The Holy soulsneedto be assisted by our prayers, almsgiving, and sacrifices. Let us offer special prayers along with mortifications for these souls in this month.

November 14th is a children’s Day. Celebrating this day in our schools, social work centres and institutions is our way of honoring Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and his vision for the nation which rests solidly on the shoulders of young ones. It is through the enthusiasm and aspirations of the children of our country we can manage to achieve harmony and peace.

November 24th we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King. The Feast of Christ the King has an eschatological dimension pointing to the end of time when the kingdom of Jesus will be established in all its fullness to the ends of the earth. It leads into Advent, when the Church anticipates Christ’s second coming. Let’s with due preparation await the birth of Christ in our lives!

December 1st - First Sunday of Advent: On this day we celebrate ‘Communio India Sunday’. It is a day to pray for the mission of the Church in India and to gratefully remember all our missionaries.

My dear sisters, I wish each oneof you a happy feast of All Saints!
