Educators of Mangalore Province had a day’s workshop organized by Province BES on 11th August 2023 at Bethany Provincialate. The educational coordinator of Mangalore Province Sr Shubha BS welcomed the educators and appreciated their role in taking forward the goals of BES among the beneficiaries in educational endeavours. Sr Cicilia Mendonca BS the Provincial Superior and Corporate Manager in her keynote address quoted the words of the Founder and said ‘Education that merely quickens the intellect without training the will in the practice of virtue may produce scholars but it cannot produce good men and women of virtue. Professor Mathew C. Ninan the Honorary Director of Little Rock Institution Bharmavar Udupi was the facilitator of the day. New insights were shared on the theme “Leadership - An Invitation to Limitless Possibilities”. He said ‘ ‘Leaderships is all about influence. It leaves great impact in the lives of those who work with us. A leader sees what is not seen by others, hears the unheard. A leader walks alone, but with others, takes risks and walks the talk. Touching upon the various angals of leadership he said that one’s belief system is very essential. Enlightened leaders are life-long learners. The heart of leadership is in the heart of leaders. The supreme quality of leadership is unquestionable integrity.”
Queries on Accounting and observations on the preparation of the annual budgets were shared by the Province Procurator Sr Flavia Wilma BS. Sisters also spent time in group discussion drawing up strategies on assessing the performance of Teaching faculty.
