The Bethany Educational Society Mangalore Province organized the celebration of ‘Bethany Champions Day’ on 07.12.2019 at St Raymond’s KG Block Vamanjoor and Maryvale High School, Kinnigoli from 9.00am to 3.00pm. Rev Sr Cicilia Mendonca the Provincial Superior and Corporate Manager of Mangalore Province presided over the programme and called on the Bethany champions to put on the mind and heart of Christ. While addressing the young champions she said “God Instituted Government for the Good of All People. Every ruling authority that exists has been established by God (Rom. 13:1–2). Those in authority are described as The Servant of God (Rom. 13:4) and ‘Ministers of God’ (Rom. 13:6). Those in power hold their power because of God (John 19:10–11) Authority is to be exercised for the good of all people (Rom. 13:4). 
 
 
Good Christian Leaders are formed through imparting humane and Gospel Values, knowledge and conviction so that they will act as value based leaders in the society through their service as policy makers and public executives.
 
 
 
The resource team of the day was dynamic and creative. They wereSr Preethi Fernandes BS, Fr Richard Fernandes CSSr, Fr Prem CSSr, Fr Jeevan Gomes SJ and Sr Mariola BS. They dealt on the themes like ‘Goals and objectives of Bethany Champions, Catholic youth and Civil Administration and Be-friending Social Media for a Responsible Living.
 
 
The Redemptorist Formees conducted the ice breaking and engaged in sing song session. Total 350 Bethany champions participated in the programme. Sr Jessy Preema BS & Ms Josna welcomed the gathering. Sr Shanthi Agnes BS and Sr Jessy Leena BS organized the programme.
The Coordinators of Bethany Champions from different BES campus of Mangalore Province,accompanied the students and participated in the Programme. Indeed it was a rich day of input and celebration, knowing and interacting with one another.
